Well done, Niek. You've depicted the beauty and serenity of the place. I like the diagonals here pointing to the peak in the distance. Well done! Too bad you didn't get that incredible solid blue sky, though.

P.S. Nice to see a shot with your 10-20mm. Now that I've been using my 10mm, everything else feels too tight. I think you've used it to full advantage here.

This is indeed beautiful, Niek. There is a wonderful sense of depth here. I love the sharp foreground elements. I hope I do as well with that lens on my trip. I hope there is something besides smoke to photograph. Take care. I'll be looking forward to meeting you on TN/TL when I get home.

So you did have something other than good weather!

The area still looks stunning even when cloudy. Did it actually rain afterwards? or were you looking for an excuse not to go for a walk?

As for the picture. I like the view and the tree to the left, but think the mountain at the back is just a touch too central IMO...

but I like the lens and the 10mm. I shall have to save up....

This is a great POV and it's well composed Niek.
My honest critique?
I think the light was not in your favor here on this day, with subdued colors..The mostly overcast skies hurt a bit. You might've adjusted the frame left a degree or so..but that's nit picking :)
That's my two cents worth.

Even on a cloudy day the beauty is still amazing. The splash of blue sky showing thru looks great. Great use of foreground elements too add depth to the shot. Nice work!

Hello Niek, very nice capture which works well in the horizontal framing. I like the lightning in this capture looks like it is going to rain. Composition is fine but I think Emma has a point about the central mountain. Clear details and exposure on this, well done.
