Eagle Cliffs - Winter

My first try in B&W.
This was taken on a dull cloudy day in early January. The POV is interesting but since there was not a lot of color, I decided to convert this one in B&W. The final result is more interesting than the original one in color.
If someone in TN is an expert in B&W, I will sure appreciate any comments or critiques.
I took this picture several meters downstream from the one I took last summer. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Patrick, This is a very well composed shot and the B/W is a master touch. A frame would have enhanced the already beautiful picture.
The elements in the picture have come out harmoniously with the river and the tree line lead the eye to the mountain.
Good work, TFS, regards, Kiran
This is a super composition with a good range of values Patrick. I think a touch more detail in the dark areas on the left side might be interesting. Nice conversion.

Hi Patrick,
A very fitting choise for a B/W photo. There is not much I would change to the conversion. The contrast is very good, and so are the details.
The composition is very nice, with the stream leading me into the scenery toward the mountains. The log in the FG makes for a good entry. The view is really wonderful.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Patrick,
excellent composition here, with the summit of the peak behind reflected in the water with the trees.
There's alot of different elements going on in the photo which i like. The differing thicknesses of ice, the way the log is still attached to the side of the river by the thin bridge of ice and the way the eye is drawn easily through all these elements. Good work!
thanks for sharing,
Paul
i love the mood this photo exudes, it's a beautiful shot, sharp and well balanced. well done.
