I believe this to be a juvenile Downy Woodpecker (Picoides pubescens). The mother who was not any larger than this fellow was feeding him bits of an orange. She would fly up to an ornage overhead and peck a bit then fly down and stuff it into the waiting beak of this fellow.
I added some contrast and Gaussian blur.
