I took this shot in a nature reserve in Central Florida in April. Some of the birds had young and some were still sitting on eggs like this one. Any help in identifying this bird would be a great help as I like to give information on the subjects in my pictures. Also any advice on uploading the pictures would be very much appreciated as they always appear to loose quality from the originals. Thanks for looking.

Hello Adrian,
A belated but warm welcome to TN.
This seems to be a tricolored heron. I have seen many of them nesting in a bird sanctuary near Orlando, Florida.
A good view of the bird on the nest.
Some adjustments in the light would bring out more saturated colors.
I did a workshop for you.Hope you like it.
