Cottontail Trail
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was out walking early Friday morning when I saw this pair. They skittered away up the path a bit, then stopped to look, listen, and munch some of the plants.
I believe they're both Eastern Cottontail rabbits (Sylvilagus floridanus). The trail skirts a meadow and is near woodland, a common habitat for them. Abundant details on the species are available online via searches such as the following: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cottontail+rabbit+mammal. |

Hi Jim, I think they are Eastern Cottontails also. Nice job getting both in focus. I like your composition and choice of frame. Ken
Now wasn't that a lucky find on such a nice day for a walk. Some days things just go right and this looks like one for you.
A nice and very cute pic of the bunny wabbits. Have you named them? Ha! It's nice to know that your area is thought of so well. I have travelled through it many, many times as a young man in the 1960's. Beautiful and full of ancient Indian spirit.
