Nice family you have captured here. I think the young one in the back is from the first nest and the young in the fg is from the second nest.

Hi Tom,
I know these are geese and the family for sure are the three larger birds but the little one doesn't look like it belongs somehow and yet it has an orange bill like the adult birds,two hatches a couple of months apart maybe?The bird in the middle was hatched this year as it would be fully grown before now,if hatched last year.Nice family portrait with strong contrast,soft focus and an odd composition with no cleat answer as to why they are together in this way.Tfs. Hi Tom,
Interesting picture showing the this family of geese. The picture show them very well with good colors and all of them in focus. I don’t know if is possible for them to have two generations in the same year and the older baby looks less than a year old. Maybe they adopted a lost gosling.

An excellent family portrait of this goose family.
It is a challenge to get every individual in a group to show their heads clearly.
Both of these youngsters were born this spring, one at the beginning and one at the end. The yellow one is a recent addition.
I am not sure why this pair had two clutches.
Sometimes they hang out in a bigger group.
Maybe one of the youngsters actually belongs to another pair and happens to be hanging out with this family?
I always see these two youngsters together though.
I don't know.
