Another dragonfly from my favorite dragonfly spot. I think they like it best in the midday sun. If you ease up on them gradually and don't spook them, they will let you get some good shots. I think they becomes fascinated with us. This one hovered right beside me, but I couldn't get a focus locked on him.
Our houseguests from France arrived yesterday so I don't know what my schedule is going to be like to do more posting. Apologies if I don't get to critique many photos.
Enjoy the dragonfly,

Hello Reid,
Very fine composition showing this beautiful dragonfly. It's a bit overexposed and could be sharper. I'll try a workshop if you don't mind
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Reid,
I think this is a very nice dragonfly photo with excellent POV and good detail. I also like the composition. The workshop by Uleko was outstanding.
Your dragonfly is a female, or possibly juvenile male Eastern Pondhawk.
You can get a free download of the demo version of Neat Image here. It will do all the noise reduction you need. The demo version will not save the exif data, but that information will still be available on your original photo.
bonjour reid
tres jolie couleurs vives.
le POV est bien choisit et place la libellule devant un BG bien flou.
la netteté sur l'insecte est parfaite.
