Hello Jim,
Not just as sharp on the head as I would like to have seen it, but still a nice in flight capture.
A little over exposed, looking at the lighter feathers on the head, but the BG is soft and wonderful and the bird does stand out greatly against it.
Best regards, Harry

Great in flight shot! Yeah, not extremely sharp but catching birds in flight is not easy! Wonderful motion in the wings and great dof.

Hi Jim,
a nice in-flight capture of this flycatcher.
Excellent motion.
A bit noisy with some fringing around the head but that is understandable in a shot with a flying bird.
Well done,
Joe :)

Hi Jim,

I would love to see one of these! True that it could be sharper but the image is still good. The colors and details of the wings are beautiful. You caught him almost horizontally really showing off that tail.

Hi Jim,
I see you have flycatchers also. It's lots of fun to watch the aerial acrobatics of this bird, but difficult to catch them on camera. Nice effort. I would be curious about shutter speed for this shot.
Best Regards,
Ken

Catching a bird in flight is a very tough thing without super lens and high speeds and a tripod with a special swivel head. But you have done it well by hand, catching the movement.

Hi Jim,
Wonderful in-flight shot, a difficult thing to achieve but you have managed well. Good attempt. The focus is a bit soft, probably a higher shutter speed would have done the trick and freezed it properly. I like the motion-blur on the wings, the colour tones here and the smooth BG which highlights the subject well. Great POV and the composition is lovely. Kudos.
TFS.

Hello Jim,
a difficult enterprise to capture a flying bird, and the result is very good, not completely at focus, but the position of the wings and the tail are perfect. Good work my friend.

Violetta
