It had just rained, and I was following a lizard, hoping it would pause and pose for me, but it was intent on covering as much ground as possible. I almost walked into this web, but stopped just short. This is the underside of the spider. I'm not sure what kind it is, but maybe someone here can identify it. The hazy dots on the web are raindrops that are still clinging to it.
To be honest, most of the web and spider were at least partially out of focus. I selected the spider and applied some sharpening to it specifically before I adjusted levels on the image and sharpened the whole thing before I resized and uploaded it. |

This is so cute! You know I was trying to do this a couple of weeks ago. It literally took me 10 mins to find the spider in my view finder! I'm doing something seriously wrong with Macro shots!
The big green leaf in the BG is quite distracting, but then if it wasn't their we wouldn't be able to see the spider!
A nicely composed shot, well done.
