High-Hanging Fruit

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Meandering through the local nature preserve yesterday (one of my favorite pastimes), I found all sorts of fruits and berries in various stages of ripening on vines and branches. I favored the upward view in glimpsing these cherries. |

I am not particularly a fan of the square format, but i think it works ok for this photo. I like seeing so much blue sky background. Focus is sharp. Nice texture on the leaves. Very nice exposure in the mixed light. The shadows are not too dark and the sunny spots are not overexposed. The colors of the cherries in various stages of ripening are outstanding. I like the way they shine.
I think the top half of the photo with about an inch cropped from right and half inch from left would also look great and give use more detail of cherries and stems.
Are these chokecherries or other? I had a tree full of choke cherries growing wild on my north most parcel of land, but I was unable to get to it due to rough landscape. Whichever, this is a fine picture of the cherry. Perhaps the square mode works for advertisements...yes this is where I have seen it used. Interesting presentation.
