[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I saw this little guy run quickly out of view into an old rotting log. I tried to get him to come out, but there was no hope. I snapped a few pictures and when I got home I was surprised this photo turned out as well as it did! I don't know what kind of lizard it is, but considering I have rarely seen one around here I was surprised to see it at all.

Critiques [Translate]

Good detailing in the scales, the focus is certainly in the right place and the expression looks very wary of you.

Lizards are often very skittish and you did well to get this although obviously the intervening grass or twig is distracting. Maybe a PS challenge for someone?

How big (or small) was this lizard? I can't help with the ID but that info might help someone else.

Well Julie, you got him and I like him. The is good detail and exposure in this inmage.

Well done I am sure we have all poked and prodded little critters trying to get them out from hiding. Its ashamed about the foreground been in the way and out of focus.
