Hello Jim,
a perfect moon: it is sharp and neat, I would like to know esposure time and F-stop, I tried some time ago to take a photo of the moon, but without success.
Great shot, greetings!
Regards,
Violetta

A strong and simple image, and I like the way the top of the moon being in shadow makes it appear egg-shaped - certainly makes it more interesting.
I like the clean black sky and the contrast it makes with the golden moon, but the purple light blooms at either side are a bit of a shame. Maybe you could clone these areas out to bring the image more in line with what you saw at the time.
I've noticed similar problems with blooming myself when shooting long exposures at night, usually when the exposure is several minutes long. I imagine your exposure here was a lot shorter than that though.
I like it though, good work Jim.

Cheers,
Ben

Hi Jim, "guarda che luna...." beutiful moon, great exposure and wonderful details, very well done, ciao Silvio

I did see this last night so well and thought of picturing it. Hopefully my night tonight will be better...I wonder if there is such a thing as a rose is a rose is a rose...since you have done so well here in your presentation. I remain enigmatically....

Bob

Hi Jim,
A nice capture of the moon. Nice colors and details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Beautiful picture of moon. I was hoping to see moon and venus together this week as venus is supposed to be very close to earth right now. Our skies have been overcast in the northeast.

DUDE, this is an awesome moon shot!!! I used to have a fascination with the moon and try to photograph and label all the features. I know, I'm a geek!
You really did an outstanding job here!!!

Hi Jim,
