"Uru" the other Golden silk orb-weaver
Nephila clavipes

Golden silk orb-weaver

While at the wildflower garden I ran into, almost literally, another Golden silk orb-weaver. I didn't think it possible but this one is much larger than Qampu(previous post). It's raining lightly as you can see by the water droplets clinging to her legs. Her mate, I think, was near-by and seeing him made the phrase "Yes Dear" come to mind. His photo can be seen here: male Golden silk orb-weaver...Without thinking I cleared the memory card and along with it all the tech info. Ooooooops!! :-(

Sharpened and Neat Image noise reduction

I just noticed, Uru is missing one of her legs. I looked at the other photos and there is no evidence of it ever being there. Another one of life's mysteries goes unsolved.

Hello Jim,
phantastic 3-dimensional view across the web and the spider. Very well focused and just the right depth of field. The spider is clearly 'isolated' due to the smooth background. Some artefacts, probably of noise reduction, are seen.
Best wishes, Peter

super nice Jim....for a spider which I am not fond. This angle makes it just a bit less frightening for me... it has a rhythm to it.
Bob

Very effective POV looking across the field of the web. Really an impressive and imposing view of the spider. Wouldn't want to mess with this one. Well done.

TFS!
