This picture was taken in Leavenworth, Washington. It is a cool little Bavarian village up in the mountains. The entire town from the McDonalds to the hotels are Bavarian style buildings and all the signs of the businesses are hand painted. Some of the major attractions to the village are the plays heald at their outdoor theater. I'll post a picture of the village itself here shortly on Trek Earth or Trek Lens. If you're ever in Washington State, you should stop by this place.

Hi Phil, a pleasing landscape, may I dare say typical American? The conifer on the left, front, should have been included totally in the picture to give you a point of intrest. It is on the strong node, but being cut-off, it looses its impact. You do not mention it, but the sky looks polarised, but only halfway - note how it fades left to right across the frame. Just some things to be aware of next time.
