King Crab
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
King or stone crabs occur around the world. Commercial fisheries have existed for them in Alaska, Canada, Russia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Australia, South Georgia and Falkland Islands, Argentina, and Chile.
These crabs are quite large and I found it really hard to capture the entire crab in one frame while still showing off details of the beautiful coloration.
This particular crab lives in the Shedd Aquarium and will likely avoid the boiling pot. |

Nice crab! Love the picture. Good detail and sharpness. I feel like you can add a bit more depth in the background. TFS
Hi Dinkar!
I just found this unique picture in your collection. I really do not remember any other picture of king crab on TN, so most probably you are the first! My congratulations and many thanks for showing something new and non-commertial (even if the king crab is very commertial ;>)
Best greetings from Poland,
Radomir
