Hi Silke,
What a wonderful view. I am currently reading the autobiography of Ansel Adams. With this photo I am slowly starting to understand his love for the CA coast. I like the composition where the curved seashore takes me further and further into the photo. The lihgting is very wonderful and gave you some lovely warm colors. Do watch out for the horizon, is has a small tilt to the left. In regards of your PP work, you might want to try to zoom in more and use a smaller brush along the edges.

Hi Silke,
a very dramatic looking coastline that i bet is amazing to see when the weather is not as great as you have caught it here. Very nice warm light and lovely colour to the sea and a compositoon that has great depth..as Niek's eagle eyes have already spotted, there is a slight tilt. (i didn't really notice until he mentioned it!!)
I wish i was there..

Hello Silke.
This is ALMOST a very beautiful shot. I do like the POV, the overall scene and composition. The light and colour. The only critical thing is the dodging job you've done on the hillside. You overlapped the hill and sky with your dodge tool and left a really obvious halo. It is to me a little distracting. But the shot itself is great. I hope you can fix it up for your own file version. Well done anyhow.

Of course this picture plucks the strings of my heart. I can still feel standing on locations such as these as the cool breeze and mist blew on me. The powerful Pacific puts me into a trace..and my mind both focuses and wanders. This is a beautiful picture, taken on a beautiful day on the rugged coastline. May He bless you in your travels.

Hi Silke,

This is a familiar location to me. I've been there many times having lived not too far away from it. It is a quite beautiful and dramatic coastline. It is rough though and not all that accessible... not many trails and much too much poison oak! I think your composition and colors are quite nice. You did lose some saturation on upload. The photo looks much richer on my desktop than on TN. In order to see what could be done in pp one would need to work on the original I think rather than this already enhanced version.

A rugged coastline, well captured!
The warm light adds a great touch and there is a fine feeling of depth...
Small sheltered places with sandy beaches have an attraction of their own!

I have to confess to having thought this was bad PP work until I read your forum... mist can catch us out in all sorts of ways.

It is such a lovely shot with a great composition and POV. The light in this picyure is great. Nicely done.

Beautiful sunlight well depicted - great expanse, you capture that 'sweep' of the ocean.

This is such a refreshing scene. Looking at it makes me miss somebody I don't even know. An image I would print, frame and put it on my wall. This is really beautiful. There is just such a variety of colours to appreciate in this photo. This is a magic scene that has a calming effect on the eye. The seascape is really wonderful.
