[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went for a walk in the woods near Deep Creek Lake and saw this little guy in my path. He was very red in the path, but as soon as he moved into the dirt and leaves along the side of the path, he became a browner color. He stayed very still, even though I got closer. I wonder if he (she?) is a salamander or a newt...

Hi JD,
Welcome on Treknature,
Nice shot. Great colors (red spots are very impressive).
Thanks for sharing and continue to send your photos ;-)

Hi JD,
Great shot of this exuberant animal!
Excellent nuance and POV.
Interesting composition.
Congratulations!
Welcome to TN!

Very tricky shot to take eh? It has its appeal in an unusual way which I cannot describe. At first I thought it was one thing, but then see the creature as it was centered and sticks out just a bit. Very nice first shot and welcome.
