[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a tour to the Grand Canyon about a year-and-a-half ago, we made a stop in Sedona, Arizona. The rock formations there are very red in color because of the high iron ore content in the rocks. I had taken several shots of the rocks already when I noticed this series of unusual cloud formations, like little regular puffs of smoke (no, there wasn't anyone high on the bluff with a campfire and a blanket sending smoke signals). If anyone knows what these are called, feel free to weigh in.

Hre's a shot of one of the rock formations in the area.

I did practically no post-processing to the image, just adjusted the levels in Photoshop, sharpened it, resized it, and saved and uploaded it.

Excellent capture and very interesting! Think the "clouds" are actually a fish skeleton in the sky!!

Nice composition with the combination of the interesting cliff face and funny clouds. Great DOV. In my opinion, it lacks a bit of contrast but it's personnel.

A very interesting and lovely landscape image, Michael.
There is so much talk these days of contrails and chemtrails, that it is hard to say what might have caused this cloud formation. The only thing that I suspect is that mankind has had a hand in it. Nature is not quite so precise and repetitive when it comes to clouds.
Good posting, thank you for sharing it.

Michael, it's fantastic! What I like from a photo is when the photographer could find the unique moment of or around the object, and you did it, well done.
