Hi Graham,
Nice composition and setting for this alligator. Although the picture is a little over-exposed, this does not matter as the detail is still retained in the data. The pale nature of the picture can be compensated using the Levels feature in Photoshop, so I've made some changes and posted a workshop so you can see what post just a little production can do.
