Well gosh! When I look at this picture I think of psychedelic colors from the late 60's early 70's even though I was too young too remember the love peace era, all I remember is weird colors and Purple Haze.

I suppose I could've called this the 'Lizard Lava Lamp'.

A little something about the man who help forge the music world:

James Marshal Hendrix was born in Seattle, Washington, on November 27, 1942; an American of African, European, Cherokee Indian and Mexican descent. An unsettled home environment made Jimi spend much of his early years staying with his grandmother, a full-blooded Cherokee Indian, in Canada.

I don't know why, I hear the sound of a strange guitar… Well seen, exposed and composed,

Hi Paul,
this is an outstanding and very colourful shot of this chameleon.Your details are very fine and well focused.I enjoy Jimi Hendrix music as well and I'm fond of his third album -Electric Ladyland and the music piece called 1983 in particular.I was also very young when the sixties ended as I was eight years old then. Thanks for an other colourful cameleon with those psychedelic colours. Bob

wow... Technicolor! It is just a super image. Wouldn't this make a great poster sized print? or even a whole collection of them on a wall. You have enough of these shots right here on TN to make a great calendar or set of prints. It is just mesmerizing to look at. A+

Hi Paul

It was a split second there, from when i looked at the thumbnail in the gallery and lowered my eyes to the name. In that interval, my mind went: "Heeeey!!! Look...Paul's back!" Seriously! ;)
I really like your comparison with the 60-70s era here. Indeed those colors do bring out the "flower-power" idea back :)
But aside that, i must once again remark the amazing textures you were able to retain here! I LOVE the scales!!! From the thorny ones on the back, to the round ones on the body, to the interesting cell-looking ones behind the eye...all of them deserve their own picture and attention.
Purely amazing!

Bravo and TFS

Hello Paul,
I've looked very well, but I don't think I miss a colour. The whole rainbow is here. With the 'Stars and Stripes' of Jimi Hendrix in my mind.
Perfect details and contrast against the black BG. The eye fascinates me.

Peter

What a fab title! what can I say? This must be the most colourful lizard I have ever seen. It is so crisp and sharp with wonderful vivid colours and great texture throughout. I used to work opposite Jimi Hendrex's residence in London. Nice note.

I love your Jimi Hendrix/Lava Lamp chameleon, Paul.
How does he get such a rainbow of colors?
What does that tell us about his inner psyche?
Another terrific chameleon shot.
