Wild Strawberry

| Noticed this little fella all by itself on the path as I was walking into Hoh Rainforest.I think it is a type of wild strawberry. I'd be happy to know the exact definition. |

we have a lot of this wild stawberry but i never thinks to take a pic...the result is very very interesting, thanks for share,Luciano
Well...it is a strawberry for sure..I have picked many a wild one only 250 miles ENE of this location. Growing in the west part of the state gives it some slight changes from my wild...the blossoms are much whiter...and growing among rocks is interesting..all of mine were in mountain meadows..so unless it is a planted start growth, which is not likely but who knows with all the green folks over there including one of my kids in Olympia...I would say go for it...and I don't know the name..but it is what you suggest..and the leafs are very good addition to tea.....along with some yarrow and honey...of course you took it in spring..so you are already back in Israel more than likely otherwise I have many friends within shouting distance of this location and know their strawberry's of the wild for sure...in order to get a ripe one you would have to sit and guard it:-) chances are there are more...and if animals don't get them foragers will!
Hi David,
