Nycticorax nicticorax - The night heron.

If anyone wouldve seen how my clothing looked like and how I smelled after taking this picture in the murky swamp laying flat on mud I would probably take a Pulitzer for "dedication and sacrifice" for art sake. The cool beamy green background is a bushy ground palm tree as this bird is very elusive.
Thank God for telephoto and Gore-Tex !

Hello Radu, I like your inferior POV most on this one with the birds gaze upwards..Great details and I like this light..You may have to hold-off on accepting that Pulitzer just yet though ;-))))

This is a great portrait Radu. Details are good and exposure (light/shadow is always hard to handle) is very good too. Just the triangle on his chest is a little OE. BG is very nice and I love the little feather on his beak. :) Well done and TFS!

Excellent portrait Radu!
The light is very good in this picture.
It's just too bad that the chest of the bird is hot, and it could have been excellent if the eyey of the bird would have shin in the sun.
But I like the way you did it!
