[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was a shot taken while vacationing on Lake Michigan 20 summers past, and rediscovered yesterday after testing the capabilities of my new HP 8180 All-in-One, which has a 9600 x 9600 scanner and built in slide-and-negative adapter. PP includes noise and low-res corrections in HP Photosmart Premier 6.5; sizing, sharpening, and an auto-levels correction in The Gimp. Shot with a Canon AE-1 Program camera and, if I recall correctly, Kodak 64 slide film.

An interesting start to what could be promising if you have lots of images...I have a Microtech Scanner which is the top of the line for flatbeds and costs about 600..They are a hard beast to become familiar with. Each does something strange to an original in one way or another. Int his case it looks like it handled the colours as if you had a polarizer on. That is the good part...The rest will come with experience and a lot of patience...but I am sure you will find it worthwhile in the end...just remember the patience part:-)
