[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Near the end of the foliage season, I had the chance to walk this path, dwarfed by these towering stately sentinels surrounding me on every side. Lodgepole trees in the truest sense, they are still used for that purpose near here, as Scouts and students learn to accommodate themselves to the beauty and simplicity of wild and scenic places.

I experimented with getting the light accurate on this, because I wanted to show the trees and color to advantage. I found the best results, in this case, by getting my shutter speed about half as fast as the 1/38 that the automatic controls were yielding.

They certainly are tall Jim...and majestic and VERY sharp. for some reason I am thinking spring and you bring back fall...ah well it is okay as winter still has some big surprises for us before the greening...

Hello Jim,
Fine autumnal deciduous forest composition that could easily be a S. Swedish beech forest. You made good use of the poor lighting, presumably with the aid of a tripod.

a nice landscape shot with lovelly automnal colours,
from your image, after the lovvely automnal colours
it is the POV that i like most, the point of view
from down to up, to the summit of the trees,
in french for that POV they say « en contre-plongé »
if i translate it is like « againts divng »

it is a excellent POV appropriate to those long trees
