Mexican Gold Poppy: Eschscholtzia mexicana
Another view in the Sonoran desert of Mexican Gold Poppies blooming in early spring.
The key ingredient for a great wildflower season in the Sonoran desert is winter rains; the more there is the more wildflowers that bloom. The best conditions is rain in November/December that are soaked into the ground then followed by additional rains in March as desert temperatures begin to rise. |

Hi Davidson,
Wonderful shot of these beautiful Poppy flowers with amazing bright colours and sharpness. Must be such a charming scene to behold there. Great lighting and exposure management. Excellent POV and very nicely composed. Kudos.
