[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Almost exactly a year ago we visited this refuge in central Oregon. We got up at the crack of dawn and the colors at this half frozen, half thawed marsh were wonderful. It was dead silent but crispy cold. It was really early and the light visible here is just as it was at the time. Unfortunately I had my point and shoot camera that does not do well in low light. Most of the images I got that morning would have been great with a different camera. This shot was more salvageable than others. Learned my lesson!

Hi Evelyn

Nontheless this is still a really good composition - I like the diagonal of the water channel and the semi-silhouetted Canada geese.

James

Hi Evelynn,
I think you did well with your P/S compact.
The picture is well composed with a good POV.
And I like the light too.
Well done.

Hello Evelynn,
I agree that with a better camera you would ahve got a different picture. Nevertheless this one is also very beautiful picture showing the early morning beauty of the marsh. Nice compsition and a good POV.
Thanksfor the share,
Smitha.

Hi Evelynn
A bit dark but the light was great, a nice composition
Kind regards
Albert

The shot is a Shannon'esc image of the low light and ambiance which is preserved..if it had been lighter in the sky then the mood would not have been there..Wonderful image and good explanations.

Hello Evelynn,
Tranquil scene superbly captured. I like the low light and calm waters that allow the geese reflections to mirror the owner. Very moody image, thanks Evelynn.

Hello Evelynn

A lovely serene image.
Very good use of the existing lighting.
The shot is well focused with excellent sharpness.
I really like the peaceful feel of this moment,I can tell that the only sounds would be those of nature.

Evelynn,
I enjoy this very refresh image, filled with a sense of tranquility. Nice rich tone color of the morning. Not as sharp as can be but capture the memont and sense of the atmosphere nicely.
