Zonotrichia querula, Harris's sparrow?
This was taken at the docks, in the town of Menemsha, on Martha's Vineyard. The closest I've been able to come to identifying this (I'm definitely a non-expert), is that it is a Harris's Sparrow or perhaps a House Sparrow. All the pictures I've seen of Harris's Sparrow have flecked chests, though. If someone has a closer ID, please chime in.
For post-proc, I cropped the image down some, adjusted the levels in Photoshop, sharpened it, resized it, saved and uploaded it. |

Hello Michael
This is a good shot of a sparrow. You have captured him very well. He is a bit dark and the emphasis is more on the post he is sitting on than him. Cropping more from the bottom would certainly make the eye look at him. Nice shot all the same. Thanks
