[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this desert shot in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, Arizona. This picture has a lot of color and life for a desert shot.

Bill,
Very nice photo, composed very well. You've got it all, plant life, mountains and a beautiful Arizona sky. Great colours and detail!!
As soon as I brought your image up on the screen I thought to myself , this reminds me of the landscape around Tuson. We were there this past Christmas while visiting my daughter who lives in Phoenix.
We went to the Kartchner Caverns and had a great time viewing all the many formations. Arizona is a great place to visit during our winter months but I'm not sure I could survive the heat of your summers.
Thanks for sharing your photo. Nice Job!
Ron

nice shot, surprising how green it is there right now. What I like is the mix of the green plants and the red soil, good composition including that foreground cactus and the flowers on both sides of it

A little dark in the shaded part but this is a wonderful view of the Catalina Foothills.

This reminds me of the time I nearly plummeted to my death while hiking alone away from any marked trails in the Catalina Mountains.

I was inattentive while walking along and suddenly noticed out of the corner of my eye the TOP of a full grown saguaro a couple feet from my right foot. It was clinging to a narrow ledge. One more step and I'd have walked right off the edge of a cliff several hundred feet high. Of course, I'd told no one where I was going. I might not have ever been found. :)
