Excellent capture of this little beaty. Very nice bright colours on the bird. Perfect blurred background to set the bird off. The composition with the diagonal twig is really good and I like the way you managed to make him pose just over the leaves. I have never seen one of these birds before so it is great with a note telling a little about the bird which should motivate more members to do the same.

Technically superb and I love its pose in the Pear tree and against the fine soft background. We've had ponds before but they do take some looking after - I don't suppose your water is stagnant?

this is a colour- and beautiful bird and you have captured in
a great way as you usually do. The colours in the BG matching
the bird perfectly and the small leafs adds a lot, the composition with the diagonal twig is very nice and of course
the details are razor sharp and the lighting is derful.

Wow, this bird might be seen as the most spectacularly coloured of all North American songbirds, but I think it will probably give most other song birds a run for their money. This is is an amazingly beautiful bird and you have really done it justice with this remarkable shot. Typical "Marhowie" quality & touch writen all over it.

This is really superb!!! An absolutely outstanding close-up!
The sharpness on this wonderful Painted Bunting is simply impeccable and the light you managed to get on it is also wonderful, making all the colors shine even more beautiful. The nice, bright and contrasting leaves are also a great touch, i think :)
The shallow DOF insured a great bokeh for the FG and the composition you managed to get is equally lovely.
All-in-all: a master's job!

Top Notch Howard, this is absolutely amazing, I believe everyone would agree with me by saying this is perfect in everyway. The painted bunting is high on my wish list especially now. The colors are amazing as well as the details. The leaves accents the image tastefully like how a professional chef would place a garnisment on a well presented food dish(you can probably tell that I'm hungry at the moment). I wouldn't mind hanging an 8x12 of this up in my office. Well done my brotha.
