[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Back from vacation in south Florida. Took one of those great wilderness adventure tours (it actually WAS pretty great...) and saw this pair of hawks in their nest. I was informed that they are red-shouldered hawks, but they don't look anything like the red-shouldered hawks I've seen in Southern California. If someone can confirm the identity of this bird - greatly appreciated!!

Hi Penny,
they may very well be red-shouldered hawks as they appear to be juvenile birds and they are harder to ID than the adults.This is a good capture for the details are good as is the colour and the only thing I would of done different was move myself more to the right to have the light directly on them,assuming that was possible to do.A nice one and thanks for sharing these young raptors.
