This picture of a White-rumped Shama (Copsychus malabaricus)was taken in another zoom this time the Reid Zoo in Tucson, this for you Jane, a resident of beautiful (and just a little bit cooler than Phoenix) Tucson.


Fun Fact:


They are native to South Asia, but were introduced to Kaua'i, Hawai'i, in early 1931 from Malaysia, and to O'ahu in 1940. They are common in valley forests or on the ridges of the southern Ko'olaus, and tend to nest in undergrowth or low trees of lowland broadleaf forests.

Hi Everton,
This looks very much like our little Fantails here in New Zealand,although ours are nowhere near as colourful.
Slightly oft,but a nicely composed shot of this cute little bird.

Another exotic beauty. He is adorable with the cute face and long long tail. Colors are magnificent - not what we see on our local birds. Great details - the eye is superb. Thanks for dedicating this to me, I appreciate it. But in another month we will be more than "a little bit cooler" than you folks in Phoenix.
