| This is a photo of Mount Naker from Sahale Arm, North Cascades Washington, taken September 1, 2007. Click here to see more about the location of where this photo was taken. Mount Baker is a 3286 m (10781 ft) Volcano located in Washington state of the North Cascades. It is said to have one of the worlds greatest records for amount of annual snow fall. It has several glaciers that surround this giant, and is a climb. The ridge below in this photo is part of Eldorado Peak, this was a very good sunset. I used auto mode, because back then i did not know of exposure, so I used Picasa 2 to give the most honest look possible, I could have made redder, but that would'nt be honest ;-) I used the sharpen mode because this photo was slightly blurry, and also used the auto contrast. I used graduated tint to get rid of the fade effect, plus it was a little too bright, then used export mode using automatic to get the file size as big as possible, but only ended up getting 171 kbs... but it still turned out. If you look closly at this photo, there is a cloud going over the summit. Hope you like this one! :-) |

Hi Joshua,
A spectacular view of this massive mountain. I like the different layers of peaks taking the eye toward Mount Baker. The orange glow makes the mountain look even more ominous. The photo does appear dark. You might want to adjust the highlights a bit more so that the snow turn to almost white. But do mask the sky since that looks great.
TFS,
Niek
