| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This shot of this great blue Heron was taken last week at the wildlife refuge. I was watching him catch these little white fish with redheads. He had caught one at the tip of his beak. In this photo you can see where I have captured him in the middle of flicking the little fish down his throat as you can see it hovering in between his beak. It would have been nice to not have such a distracting background, but that nature. Thanks for looking. |

lovely shot of this heron,and as you write the bg is not what you wish for, but that is life I say. Its eye is very concentrating.

You certainly had the focus right on the target..and your depth of field is mastered well here...The bird itself is quite clear and very naturally coloured and sharp. In it's environment it looks as natural as it is intended to be..Well done Tom.
