[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday morning while in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone I found this Grey Wolf hunting on Soda Creek. I'm unsure if he is a member of the Druid Pack or a loner, I do know there was some howling from the trees south of Soda Creek that he would stop and listen to. I have said in the past the sound of a howling wolf is in my mind the sound of the wilderness. Today Lucy and I are going to take a day off for laundry and if the weather forecast is correct a barbeque. Other than that a lazy day for the Prices have a great day.

Hello Rick,
I agree about the sound of a Wolf's howl, something very haunting about it. A good capture of a wild Wolf, he doesn't look too good though, pretty bony. I've never seen one in the wild, it must be quite an experience. A good capture, detail is a little soft which could be fixed in PP quite easily.
Regards,
Adrian

Dear Rick,
Excellent shot of grey wolf by you. Though some what has less of sharpness but that's not everything in the wild life coverage. TFS.

Beautiful picture of this wolf. Good composition. Good DOF and focus. Beautiful natural colours.

The land looks lie it has suffered as much as the animals with all of the snows...It will be a while before it recovers from this last heavy winter. I added some colour by using an earth tones filter...just to see if I could brighten up the day a bit...Nice capture rick. This is the kind of place where a lot of patience and walking would come into play, so I'll just enjoy yours:-)

Hello Rick,
Excellent shot of the Grey Wolf in the wilderness. It looks a bit weak and forlorn.I liked the composition and the point of view.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

Hi Rick,

And here is your wolf! He looks scrawny like the coyotes we have here. You should invite him to your barbeque. A wonderful souvenier of your trip - wow, to see a wolf in the wild! Nice shot showing off his coat and face with his eye shining through. Happy Laundry Day.
