Of course I knew this was Sedona immediately without clicking. I can't help you with the name of this rock because I never ever could see what they said I should be seeing. You captured the Sedona Red perfectly and with good details of the rocks. A nice October sky to go with it.

This is like a chiselled sculpture on a massive scale! It must be a truly awe inspiring experience to view these for real!

Excellent image Everton,
I have been to the exact spot a few times myself. Whenever we visit our daughter and son-in-law in Phoenix, we seem to end up in Sedona at least once during the trip.
Sedona is a very beautiful area and one has to actually see it to appreciate all it's grandeur.
You have captured it wonderfully in this photo. Great notes! Well done!!

I like this, beautiful colours and good light and shadow. A very tranquil looking sky. Also close enough to see the details in that amazing rock formation. I'd like to see a wider angle view as well, just to take in some more of that beautiful landscape.
