[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In May the longest winter in 20 years was losing its grip in Yellowstone Park. The animals had suffered a lot. Every night and some days we were there, the ponds and lakes would refreeze. The trail through this snow patch is a bison trail. We noted how the animals seemed to enjoy long drinks of water. It had been many months that they had only snow to eat.

Stunning landscape shot Evelynn,
It is really beautiful but I'm certainly glad that the snow has left Ohio for at least a few more months.
Wonderful colours and great composition. You have a perfect act for composing just the right image!! I'm still struggling with too centered of a shot and things of that nature.

Hi Evelynn

A lovely composition - I like the bold lines leading the viewer's eye into the shot. You have maintained the detail the 'scalloping' typical of 'wasting' snow beautifully. I also like the juxtaposition of the cumulus clouds.

I have just got back from a few days away.

James

Hello Evelynn,
Delighted to see you back after awhile and see your beautiful landscape from the US!
Very good pov with great depth here to view the winter losing it's grip at last over the land!
good focal point with a awesome clouds formation over the land
many thanks for the sharing
warmest regards to you
Tony

Splendido paesaggio montano, eccellenti POV e DOF, molto bella la composizione con la prospettiva diagonale della neve e le bellissime nuvole che incombono, ottima nitidezza, bellissimi i colori e i contrasti di luce. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

I can't help but wonder, Evelynn, about the title...the end is indeed in sight, in the shot, very beautifully, but in reality, very grim! Some scientists say Bombay will go under-sea in 20 years due to the rising sea level, also, the Sunderbans, home to the largest number of tigers(beacause it cannot be explored or 'conquered' by man due to its marshy land), will be claimed by the sea, sooner than that!
Ominous but apt title, my friend!

Hello Evelynn

A beautiful vista,it was a very snowy Winter in many places this past year.
The creek cuts through on a nice diagonal here, and the view is terrific.
Excellent sharpness and details.
