I wonder....are Northern Cardinals down there year around? It is a somewhat different looking part of the Cardinal family for me. Not sure if I have seen anything like this one before except on TN. Very nice Jane!

Hi Jane. Even the young ones are colourful, which is not often the case. You have captured this one with good detail and natural colours. i do like the feathers on the head. TFS. good notes too.

Good evening Jane, there is something in the eyes that says it is a juvenile, so sweet and cute with a roundness in the face. I like the blurred background, neutral in colour, leaving the colours of the cardinal show out more. It is sharp and beautiful, thank you!

Looks like he is resting a bit. I like the nice close head shot you've managed to capture. Very soft natural colours in his plumage.
His crest kind of reminds me of the way my hair looks, when I get up in the morning.

A real beauty.
It has taken a couple of years but I have some regular cardinals visiting my backyard feeder and just recently I have been able to approach them.I hope to get a capture half as good as this.
