Hi Howard
Bambi is just too cute, look at those long lanky legs. You have to wonder how it can hold it's self up.

I don't mind the backlit look....it creates a soft look around Bambi and matches how delicate the the whole image is. I think if you were to see this image in a book it would look just fine. Don't be so hard on yourself :)

Wonderful shot of this Baby Whitetail Deer the detail is superb, I'm amazed at the d.o.f even at f/5.6, the deer is so well isolated from the OOF foreground and background, just perfect, beautiful colours, really well captured and framed, all the best,

Such a cute baby deer. Yes, I would do anything to make the picture look better.You must have already tried quick mask to change the exposure only on the deer.

Your baby Bambi is wonderful - so sweet and lovable. If the original was as terrible as you seem to think you did a great photoshop job. The baby is sharp, the facial expression is precious, colors are wonderful and setting and composition are lovely. If you ever get bored I have a bunch you can doctor up for me!
