Juvenile Green Heron - Small chunky heron with short legs. Juvenile is browner with a white throat and underparts heavily streaked with brown. Usually found in marsh and pond areas. Seen at Ira Trail head by the beaver marsh

interesting bird

Nice shot Kris,
I love the composition on this shot. You've managed to fill up the whole frame and it really looks clean and natural.
It's funny I took a photo of a Green Heron just the other day, but I wasn't 100% sure of it's identy because the breast had some stripes in it. I figured it must be a juvinile but wasn't positive, But your photo proves it.
