[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While vacationing at Chautauqua Lake in new York I spotted this family of Swallows sitting on a bench by the boat docks. They looked so comical that I just had to get a shot of them all lined up in order.

The parents would come in like dive bombers with insects, while the young were all lined up and ready to chow down. It was really hard trying to capture them at the precise moment because it happened so fast. I don't know how the parents managed to hit their mark so quickly, because in the flick of an eye they were in and out again.

I spent quite a bit of time that day just watching this group as they seemed to not have a care in the world. There were actually about six young all together, but they were spaced out to far apart to include the whole bunch

Hi Ron , this is such a neat photo , I like the last one in line , I cant make up my mind if it is ducking or the last one to get fed :-) they look very comical.

Ahhh swallows and bats. Dad used a ping-pong ball air gun and shoot high up in the air and watch the birds play with the projectiles...Cool. That is one lake I have never been to. Super image...hard to believe that there is a place in the east which I have never been...very good then Ron. glad you shared this fine image!

Very good interest, very nice "group" action capture.
You've done a great job of showing the chicks demanding behavior..
I think they keep doing this even as they get big enough to fend for themselves..Just like teenagers ;-}
