Thanks you Sir Nick for getting the ball moving in a positive direction. And thank you Ulla for being so proper and staunch, as well as having a good heart!

I took an image of this particular bee last year and it did not come out as well as yesterdays. Now all I have to do is find the correct ID and when I do I will come back and add it in.
The bee is on an Echincea which is already in the dying process. The petals are wilting but the cone is still quite alive with pollen as well.

Nice one of a bee doing its rounds on an Echinea, the POV and composition being great.
The dust seems to be settling now and seeing your image I feel inspired to post one I took today.
Thanks Bob, I'm sure Ulla is pleased by this Tribute and I think Nick would be too.

Hello Bob,

I'm glad you are posting shots again!
You have chosen one of my most favourite flowers, the Echinacea, to show off the bee!
Crisp, sharp images and nice composition.

I find that these flowers attract butterflies. Do they do that in Canada?

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

A very fine image of this busy little creature, Bob.
I like the tight composition and the details are crisp and clean
(And thanks for providing the shutter speed)

Hello Bob,
Many thanks for your kind dedication and I'm very pleased to see you back with a fine close-up of one of my favourite flowers, the Echinacea. Ours are not in flower yet so this will do very nicely until they come out! Good focus on the little Bumble Bee too, I love its colours!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Bob,

A lovely dedication to two of my favorite people. The flower may be dying but it is still beautiful and you have captured it in great detail. The bee is wonderful and seems to be having a fine time.

Hi Bob,another 1st class pic,i like a lot the details of the heart of this beautifull flower, high quality of the bee too,not easy to take so perfectly,my best compliments, have a nice day,Luciano

It's nice to see some familiar names. It was feeling a bit lonesome around here.

It's nice to see bees and pollen and flowers following age old cycles... Life goes on. It is interesting how my TN has become a part of our lives.

It is a nice image for a nice dedication.

Hi Bob, splendid flower and wonderful bee, great composition with fantastic colors, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Nice floral macro. Color is fine and general technical quality good. A nice picture. I like flora macros a lot!

I'd be tempted to saturate the colors a bit more and offset the flower more toward the upper left hand side rule of thirds intersection point for a bit more artsy flair.

I am going to have to take and post an insect macro here just for you.

Hi Bob. Thanks for the dedication I could not stay away i was missing it all to much. I went for a walk the other evening and came back without any pictures just felt lost with no TN.
Any way this is a good close up of the Bee on the Echincea which i know is one of your most liked plants. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Bob,
Excellent shot of this Echincea and a Bee. The picture is beautifully composed, details are sharp and colours are natural.

Hello Bob. Ulla and Nick will be happy with this dedication. The spikes of the stamens are so sharp with the bee crawling in is wonderful to see. Immaculate details and well framed shot. I like the pleasing petals with beautiful pastel color. Thanks for sharing this excellent image. Best regards. Jusni

Hi Bob,

A nice close-up image of the bee working on the flower. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the scenery. It is clear and precise. The subject is well frame. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
