Inca terns are native to the Pacific coast of South America from Peru to Chile and are unmistakable with its black plumage, white feathery tufts on the sides of its head, the white-rimmed wing feathers and its bright red beak and feet. Their diet consists mainly of fish like the Peruvian anchovy, but they may also feed on lobsters.

Ken, what a beautiful photo. Vivid colors and a great sharpness, as well as great POV.

Congratulations.

Ken,
nice capture of a very beautiful bird...
Hind feathers seem a little out of focus...could have increased the DOF to clearly capture the bird...
otherwise, bright colours and nice composition...
well done...

Beautiful crisp clear image Ken. I love the contasting colour under the eye and the shape. Nice eye contact. Well done. TFS

That is a very sharp picture, Ken. Great colors and exposure too. Wish there were a bit more space on top.
Thanks for introducing a new species to me. : )
