| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Clematis glaucophylla is a perennial vine that dies down to the ground in winter. It is a rather rare plant that has been recorded from only five states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. According to Flora of North America, reports of Clematis glaucophylla from other southeastern states are based on misidentified specimens. Careful viewers can see some of the flowers in this image dripping nectar, which is abundantly produced to attract one of the plant's principal pollinators, the ruby-throated hummingbird. The plant thrives in rich, moist soil and prefers light shade; however, so long as soil moisture is adequate, it will tolerate full sun. |

Bonjour Rufino,
Hi Rufino,
This is a lovely flower and you have captured it very nicely in a fine vertical composition. The coilours are excellent and the details quite sharp. I like the drop of water coming from the central blossom. Thanks for posting.
