[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One cold February day a couple years ago, I walked with Denver Holt through a field just west of Missoula, MT... Denver is an owl expert, and that day we ran into a number of the little guys. This image is my personal favorite.

I shot it portrait, and cropped it quite a bit to get just his face. I can't remember what type this was... that's embarrassing. Short-eared Owl, if I recall. Denver's website is the best owl resource I know of - you can find it at: http://www.owlinstitute.org/

Love your composition, gives it that up close and personal touch towards this cute little owl.
