Hi Bob
Another beautiful landscape from your analog camera. Great 3 dimensional effect, beautiful water colors and good exposure on white parts. I like it very much. I also like youe personal and very intersting note
TFS

A fine scene indeed Bob, taken with a -now antique- 6x6 cm Yashica TLR camera! In those years (couldn't understand whether the picture was taken in 1971 or '72) I had a similar Zeiss Ikon "Ikoflex" TLR, a beautiful contraption without of course even an exposure meter, had to calculate each exposure from the available illumination...
Your scanner must be a good one, this really is a most "presentable" land/seascape my friend, thank you for sharing it with us.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hi Bob,
A souvenier of the "good old days." Ah youth! A beautiful seascape with an amazing 3D effect. I love the colors of the water with the fascinating rock. Lovely how the rocks frame the picture. You must have a fantastic scanner to get results like this.

Hi Bob
what a beautiful image.. and the nice history of how you did it....
I never try to use a twin lens, but the size of the negative always atract me, I used sometimes a Zeiss Ikon 6x6 that gave me wonderful slides...
you did a good work with the scan and the picture colors are yet good.. specially the sea water...
TFS

Hi Bob,
The capture of the sea movement between the rocks toward the beach is an asset to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the beach in the background. The light has a good effect on the colors. have a nice day.

I love the vivid colors, here. They jump, sparkle, and dance - they contrast each other so much that ultimately, they meld. Beautiful landscape.
This has tension deep within while providing a calming effect. This belongs over a fireplace...or somewhere else just as special where it can be viewed by many.

Hi Bob,
This really does remind me of the "Great Ocean Road" in Victoria here in Australia, A stunning drive along the coastline which includes the "12 Apostles". My wife and I did a trip not so long ago; I think I posted something on T.E!
This is a stunning image and an even more stunning coastline, if I recall correctly our natural arch known as "London Bridge" collapsed several years ago, luckily no one was hurt at the time.
Cheers Rick :)

Namastay Bob,
A nice capture of this beautiful seascape. Lovely colors and very good composition. BTW you have mentioned Date taken 1971 in the Photo information and 1972 in your note. It doesn't matters to me just found the mistake and informed. Thanks a lot for sharing this beauty with a Yashica antique. I have a Yashica model (Prosumer) of my father. And I like the build quality and looks.
Sincerely,
HP

Good day to you, Mr Shannon.
I see you have brought back to life another slice of your history here, it's great to see it. I wonder, if i stood here, how different the coast would be...maybe unchanged, maybe some of the storms over the past 37 years will have left their mark.
Anyway, a shot brimming with sunshine and peace. Reckon i would've been a 'hippie', back in the day..

Very nice bit of scanning here Bob, to show us an interesting and convoluted part of the Medocino coast. The lighting makes it come to life and the POV and composition are great. I guess it can't have altered much since then.

That is won wopper scanner you've got!
This is very "presentable" as Mehmet said.
The turqoise sea is really inviting... I wish I could just dive in right now (or belly-flop more like!).
Superb sharpness.
Excellent DOF.
Very well done Bob, great notes too!

Even the rocks change, and life flows on...
This shot was taken way before I was born...yet ,as you say, or rather, as I choose to understand, change is the only constant!

Hi Bob,
what a history behind this postcard landscape image of yours! If this was your first camera, your first roll of film and your first shot on a first visit to California, you already had the knack for scenery, light and atmosphere, its in your DNA! Thanks for all!
Best regards
Dietrich
