[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When we took a boat trip to the Kenai Fjords we were extremely lucky to get sunshine (day 11 since May 1st) and all the wildlife we could hope for, including thousands of puffins resting on the calm ocean surface and darting past the boat.
In spite of that I only managed a handful of good shots of puffins in flight. They're just so fast!

Hello Hauke,

This is the first time I've seen your work and welcome to T.N. A wonderful in-flight shot of this Tufted Puffin, excellent capture showing some serious speed, no doubt rushing home with the dinner; The detail and the colours are stunning, and even shooting at 1/320 seconds you've got superb movement in the wings it really giving that sense of speed, just superb work, well done, all the best,

I have never seen a Tuften Puffin on flight!
These are one of my favorite birds, and this a new pose and definitely a new angle to observe them.
I like the effect of the speed and wind. Good timing and proper focus on the moving subject.

A bit different looking as our eauropean puffin,I know they lift of difficult,but when in the air they are fast and hard to capture,you did a wonderfull job,tfs
