| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Mountain that you see is not the summit of Hallett Peak but a part of it's eastern ridge. Hallett is in ROcky Mountain National Park and is "only" 12,770 feet in elevation (3905 meters). Bear Lake is at 9000 feet (2752) so Hallett is not a significant mountain by any means. Nothing like Longs Peak just a few miles to the south and the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park at over 14,250 feet (4357 meters) and is substantially greater elevation gain than Hallett. THough Hallett is an impressive site from Estes park just a few miles from Bear Lake at just over 7000 feet (2140 meters).
Notice the yellow in the trees, fall colors have started already in Rocky Mountain National Park and other areas of COlorado |

Hi Paul,
Yes indeed, fall has arrived in your area. This is one of those grand landscapes where one wants to see more to the left and right... a panorama might have worked here. Looks like I will miss Autumn in the Rockies this year due to health issues! Drat!

Hello Paul,
I wish that photo were more big size. Fabulous colours and shapes. Miraculous place. Good composition.
