Leaf peeping..it is an old provincial word among some Americans. I remember my grandmother and her mother well...my grandmother..and how they would take me for long rides in the Amish country to see the Maples. Upon seeing them I was always surprised with taste and colour, but nothing more than when the special times my father and mother took me. they took me into Ontario and Quebec to see the changes in leaves...and it is still today as clear as a bee sting. I say that because I was stung by one at such a ride...but because I was in pain and my father concern, he stopped at a small cabin where the people only spoke French and asked them for some ice...which they gave readily..and dad put it on my arm to relieve the swelling. At that point in time I bout a Canadian map and held high the standards of living and understand the French Speaking Canadians whom I have close to my heart...

Maple trees are a constant reminder of my days 50 years ago as a child...there are some things a person never forgets! So to my Canadian French Fiends I salute you with these Maple Leaves!

Hi Bob,

The photo is beautiful - the words are beautiful - the bee sting not so much. I love these deep richly colored autumn leaves which you have captured perfectly. The composition is superb. For some reason they remind me of first or second grade when our assignment was to bring in the most perfect maple leaf we could find. For the life of me I can't remember what we did with them.

Jane

Hi Bob, an other wonderful autumnal composition with fantastic warm colors, I like a lot this one, bravissimo, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Bob,
What a wonderful photo of these maple leaves. The well saturated colours are amazing. The sharpness and details are excellent. But most of all I like the fantastic composition.
Regards,
Peter

Ciao Bob,
bellissime queste foglie che racchiudono insieme i colori estivi e quelli autunnali, ottima nitidezza, un'immagine di grande impatto visivo (IMHO meravigliosa se un raggio di luce accarezzasse le foglie).
TFS.

Hello Bob,

You have choseb such a beautifull image to show. There is such a reachness of color tones in your photo. The colors are so vivid and saturated despite the soft light you have used.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Bob

Another terrific autumn abstract from you, my friend, and also a lovely dedication!
There is something special happening to us all this time of the year...suddenly we all seem to look at a side of nature that perhaps we've neglected all year long - these amazing leaves and the changes that go on inside them, in their metabolism and how such a small element can have such a huge impact on the general landscape.
The tones in your shot here are outstanding and the pattern created here by the maple leaves is terrific! I have no problem understanding how something like this is incorporated in all sorts of different cultures :)
Very nice work!

Bravo and TFS

Beautiful Fall colors Bob,
Maples are my favorite when it comes to their fall color. The leaves have really started to turn in our area this past week.
I'm glad to see you have fall colors out there also, I know some areas of the US. don't get to enjoy this annual event.
