[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I photographed this Gray Squirrel in my backyard in Montgomery, Alabama.

The gray squirrel's natural home is the oak, hickory and walnut forests of eastern North America, where its numbers are controlled by owls, foxes and bobcats. It feeds on seeds and nuts -- an adult squirrel takes about 80 g (2 3/4 oz) of shelled nuts each day -- and on eggs, young birds and insects. Occasionally gray squirrels strip the bark from young trees to gain access to the nutritious sap beneath. Two litters are produced each year, in early spring and summer. There are up to 7 young in a litter, but usually only 3 or 4 survive. Males are excluded from the nest and take no part in rearing the young. In the south of England, the introduced gray squirrel is ousting the native red squirrel.

Jolie composition et règlage parfait de la mise au point, les couleurs sont extraordinaires.

Bill, Brilliant capture. Nice earthy tones. The details are super sharp and the pose is perfect. I love the auburn colouring in the hair. Nice note too. Thanx for sharing.

What a cutie! Lovely sharp shot Bill with lots of interesting detail and good natural colours.

Bill, Very nice detailed photo that definitely has the "cute" factor. (according to the Mrs!). I think the pose with paws folded give the Gray an expectant quality, (like ok, where are those nuts you promised!). Like the angle & the frizzy hair on the tail that adds even more interest! Well done again!!

Aint she Sweet! Very good, Bill. I would crop the frame just to the right of the lighter patch on the left, and maybe mirror the image so that your eye travvels over the "empty" space and then rest on the eye. Not a nit, a suggestion. I love the way it is rolling its hands!

Now I also have a window to your backyard... Thanks.

Simply beautiful, I wish a squirrel would pose for me like that ;-) All details excellent, only I'd move him a little to the left in the frame instead of keeping him centered.

What a great capture Bill. It looks so cute - allmost like saying a prayer. Excellent colours and sharpness. Only nit - I would crop out about half of the space in the left side to bring the squirrel out of centre.

Very cute Squirrel with really hairy feet :-).
I would have liked him more to the left and maybee a little higher so he looks into the picture but otherwise really good.

Lovely picture of a grey squirrel :). Like a few others I would move him a bit off-centre by cropping a bit of the left out. Sharp as a pin and lovely colours. I like the frizzy tail too, his hair is as bad as mine! DOF is perfect. Love it :)
