| I have always admired the amazing macros I see here, and thought I'd try my hand. Obviously, its harder than it looks! My Sigma 300 mm does a good job on its macro setting, but capturing a bee busy about its business requires more light, DOF and a shorter exposure than I thought and had. You can see the bee drinking deep here, with pollen all over it. I assume the broad, flat appendage is the proboscis (apiaran experts to the rescue, please!). |
